Since her admission in 2010, Indu has practised across a broad range of areas of law and in the recent years has exclusively practiced in the area of Family Law having represented clients in all aspects including property matters (for married and de facto couples), parenting matters, spousal maintenance matters and child support matters.
Indu has a particular interest in property and parenting matters including the drafting of agreements. Indu enjoys applying her analytical mind to complex cases involving multiple and varying corporate structures, international issues and high net worth cases.
Indu also enjoys appearing at the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, where she appears on a regular basis. In the past Indu has also appeared before the full bench of the Family Court of Australia on appeal matters.
Indu approaches her matters in a client focused way with the view of reaching a resolution in the most efficient manner without the need of incurring substantial costs.
Indu has a straightforward and direct manner and is a strong and persuasive advocate both in the court setting and in negotiations. Indu is without doubt an aggressive lawyer when it comes to winning cases. Opponents and witnesses alike all know that they have been on the opposing end of Indu. When you want someone, who does not take a backward step to get results then Indu is your lawyer. However, where possible, Indu works very hard to achieve a mediated outcome for clients which is most productive, harmonious and economic.
